Desde la investigación que estamos desarrollando en ScienceFlows, hemos trabajado con dos mecanismos de participación ciudadana en ciencia y tecnología. Por una parte, la Consulta Ciudadana (a través del proyecto europeo CONCISE) y por la otra parte, a través de la Science Shop de ScienceFlows. Los resultados obtenidos con ambos mecanismos de participación, consideramos que son de gran valor social, tanto para la transferencia del conocimiento a la sociedad como por su posible implementación en políticas públicas. Over the last two decades, as a result of the introduction and intensive use of technologies for information and general knowledge, especially from the internet, the university is living in a process of complete transformation that affects it´s academic and organizational structures as well as the conception of educational methodology. This paper presents the results of a research study whose objective was to identify the facilitating factors and barriers that, in the opinion of representatives of the Spanish scientific community, impact the implementation of the new open science model in four areas: open access, open research data, research assessment and open peer review. A qualitative study was designed in which information was obtained through interviews with researchers, editors of scientific journals, representatives of assessment agencies and vice-chancellors, and through a focus group of librarians with expertise in aspects of open science.
